Log-in Log-out
Once you have
logged-in the forum remembers who you are and where you
logged-in from. Then if you reconnect at a later time it will
log you in automatically. This is not a problem unless you wish
to connect from a different computer, when the system will complain that
you are already logged-in and an attempt is being made to hack
into the system. Therefore please log-out
when finished if you plan to use multiple computers, say a desktop and
laptop.
4. Forum Structure
In order that you find your use of the forum enjoyable it is
better to have an understanding of the structure.
It is basically made up of several layers: these are called
categories, forums, topics and threads.
Categories are the highest level and are quite obvious.
Forums further break down the categories into like items
the above 2 are set up by the boards
administrators and cannot be added to or changed by members.
as indeed some forums only allow posts by the administrators.
Topics within a forum, members can create new topics for
discussion or advertising by clicking on new post.
Threads are then formed as a series of posts by replying when
viewing a particular post.
Please try not to start a new topic when
you really mean to reply within an existing topic that is
already covered.
The initial structure:-
Food Forums:
Advertise your products
-
Bakery & confectionery
-
Dairy produce
-
Drinks
-
Fish
-
Fruit & Vegetables
-
Meat & Game
-
Preserves & honey
-
Sauces & condiments
-
Other products.
Business Services.
– Training etc.
For sale/wanted:
- Equipment/premises/land/animals etc.
Jobs : vacancies/wanted.
Distribution of products
– Post up the area you can cover
(+ whether
chilled/ frozen/ambient) with any additional areas that you
would like to reach, and you may be able to link up with a
fellow foodmaker in order to help each other out. This is
already working for some businesses, saving both time and money.
Worth a try?
Clubs
– smallholders, beekeepers etc.
Miscellaneous.
